By 10am, the site reported more than 10,000 incidences of outages across the country.
Thousands of users are taking to Twitter to vent their frustration at the outage, while Google searches relating to Telstra outages have spiked.
Telstra has not explained the outage but has posted this Tweet.
This is the second incident this month for Australia's biggest telecommunications company, which ran into difficulties in early-May after triple zero services were hit by a network issue that prevented people from calling the emergency number across the country.
The government is formally investigating the 000 incident, which is believed to have been caused by a lightning-sparked fire at a cable pit east of Orange.
Outages across the Telstra 3G and 4G network could be impacting people trying to call Triple Zero (000) or the Police Assistance Line (131 444).
The NSW Police Force said that until the issue is resolved, those affected should use a phone with another carrier or a landline if needing to call these numbers.
Please remember to only call Triple Zero (000) if you have an emergency.
