The Kangaroos beat the Blues 42-34. True to form the Kangaroos won the day. Its hard to see how the Blues could have turned it around after loosing the first quarter.
The Kangaroos were coming off another big 46-12 win over the Yass Magpies and are looking to add a third straight win this weekend to all but secure their place in the top four.
Kangaroos prop Josh Hitchins believed the match would be a tight affair despite the Blues recent form.
“I reckon they’ll be a different team come this weekend,” Hitchins said. “The last derby was good but with it being at our home ground this weekend it will be much better.
“We have the charity day for men’s testicular cancer so we’ll be wearing purple jerseys.”
The Blues sit three points outside the top four after a 46-16 drubbing at the hands of the Woden Valley Rams and need a win to keep their finals hopes alive.
