Lake Ginninderra is probably fishing the best locally at the moment; bait anglers are catching decent yellow belly and redfin are in good numbers.

Flicking lures around the bridge pylons has also produced some good yellows. The dam wall and emu bank has held a few small cod which have responded to surface lures and deep diving hard bodies, like Stumpy's, Predatek boomerangs and Arashi deep cranks.
On the coast, reef fishing remains a great option as snapper and mowies are feeding up on the deeper reefs, and there's also loads of squid around at the moment which is the best bait (and very tasty!)
Estuaries on the far south coast are fishing well, with most producing a constant bite of duskies, bream and whiting.
A few marlin are still being caught; boats that headed out off Bermi before the crowds, found good bait balls with multiple fish and warm water. The FADs were also teaming with life. Some managed a good feed of Mahi Mahi.
In the mountains, Tantangara is my pick of spots with some solid reports coming in. Most methods of fishing seem to be producing the goods.
Bait fisho's are better off hitting next to weed beds or in deep drop offs using minimal weight and small hooks, to keep the bait away from feeding yabbies. Better yet, pelicans have started to show up at the mouth of the Eucumbene river.
Let's cross our fingers and toes for some decent rain and let's get this party started!
