The theme, In the Garden, encourages students and collectors to immerse themselves in the outdoors.
Australia Post executive general manager, community and consumer, Nicole Sheffield said, it is a great way for kids to get hands on with sustainable farming. "We want it to inspire the whole family to roll up their sleeves and have some fun.
"It's the perfect opportunity to explore the outdoors and learn about composting, being water-wise, and plant and animal life cycles. We're celebrating the simple things... that make a difference."
The five collectables were designed by award-winning illustrator Andrew Hopgood, and are available from participating Post Offices, by via mail order on 1800 331 794, or online at auspost.com.au/stamps.
Set in the suburban garden, the stamps feature native trees, shrubs and ground cover. The scenes also display an array of projects including building and tending a worm farm and a rainwater garden.
