The graduation of SPARK Queanbeyan Construction participants on Wednesday, June 30, was cancelled due to new COVID-19 restrictions put in place as of Sunday, June 27.
Earlier, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) had announced the decision to postpone the Christmas in July Market.
The event, due to be held on July 11, has now been postponed to September 19.
QPRC has also decided to reschedule the community engagement for the Towards 2042 project, which gives community members a chance to say what Queanbeyan-Palerang will look like in 20 years.
"Unfortunately, community engagement activities in spaces such as supermarkets aren't appropriate at this stage, so we've had to press pause for now. We are looking to reschedule these events but may need to take a different approach. We will keep you posted on any changes," the QPRC statements read.
Similarly, The Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre had decided to cancel the performance 'Kiss Me, Kate' that was going to be held on June 26-27.
The decision was taken keeping the ongoing Covid-19 situation in mind.
